The Agricultural Communicators Network (ACN) announced Iowa State University student Bailey Sieren has been selected for the 2022 marketing communications summer internship program, according to ACN Future Agricultural Communicators Committee Chair Megan Schilling of Successful Farming.
This year's internship is a remote position hosted by Vive Crop Protection. Sieren will gain experience in day-to-day marketing and communication, including social media, customer relations, marketing strategy and much more.
"I look forward to this internship as it's a way for me to gain experiences in the workforce while providing Vive a fresh, innovative perspective," Sieren says. "Broadening my agricultural experiences with a better understanding of the crop protection industry will help me advance my career. My studies at Iowa State University are in line with this internship and my plans for the future."
Emily Roden, Marketing and Communications Associate at Vive Crop Protection says, "We couldn't be more excited for Bailey to join the Vive team this summer! We look forward to Bailey's engagement in various facets of our communications efforts, from social media to sales support to on-farm customer testimonials. It is an honor for Vive to partner with ACN to offer this opportunity as we develop the next generation of ag marketers."
The marketing communications internship is made possible through a grant from ACN Professional Improvement Foundation and the generosity of Gardner & Gardner Communications.
Julie Deering, chair of the Professional Improvement Foundation for the ACN, says, "Investing in young professionals and future ag communicators is something our members feel is essential to developing the talent and skills our industry needs. We're pleased to support the funding of educational activities benefiting our members and future members."
