The price of regular unleaded gasoline rose 8 cents, averaging $4.76 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $3.27 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $118.01.
Brent crude oil fell $2.24 and currently priced at $120.44.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $72.12 and Brent crude was at $73.38.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $4.76 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 8 cents from last week's price and $1.89 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $5.01, up 5 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 4 cents this week with a statewide average of $5.33. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.05 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 45 cents less than the national average of $5.78.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $3.79 for U87-E10, $4.38 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $4.45 for ULSD#2, $4.63 for ULSD#1, and $3.28 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices fell $1.98 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $7.61/MMbtu.
