Quinton Richardson has accepted the position of regional director with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach serving Black Hawk County. He begins the position Feb. 12. As regional director, Richardson will provide administrative leadership to county extension office staff and guidance to the county extension council.
Currently Richardson is the academic success and retention coordinator at Wartburg College in Waverly and is the owner of Big Q's Clothing in Waterloo. His previous experience includes serving as director of Kool Kids Society Mentoring Program and academic advisor with Upward Bound Math and Science, both in Waterloo.
“Quinton has an extensive background of success in education and community relations. His experience in strategic planning, problem-solving, collaboration and networking will bring a dynamic perspective to his role as a regional director,” said Andrea Welchans, assistant vice president with ISU Extension and Outreach. “We congratulate him and welcome him to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.”
Richardson received an Associate of Liberal Arts from Hawkeye Community College. He has his bachelor's in public relations, master's in organizational communication and human resource development, and Doctor of Education, all from University of Northern Iowa.
