The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $3.64 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $88.03.
Brent crude oil fell $3.74 and currently priced at $93.44.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $66.59 and Brent crude was at $69.40.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.59 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 3 cents from last week's price and $.59 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.94, down 7 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 4 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.71. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.13 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 30 cents less than the national average of $5.01.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.69 for U87-E10, $3.12 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.62 for ULSD#2, $3.88 for ULSD#1, and $2.67 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices rose $1.00 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $9.26/MMbtu.
