The Iowa Corn Growers Collegiate Club at Iowa State University provides students with valuable opportunities to connect with industry professionals, explore career options, and learn about the impact of Iowa Corn on agriculture. As the student branch of the Iowa Corn Growers Association, the club helps students develop leadership skills and gain hands-on industry experience.

Networking and Leadership Opportunities

The club meets on the third Tuesday of each month in 2234 Bessey Hall during the academic year. Meetings begin with a social at 5:30 p.m., followed by discussions at 5:45 p.m.

Students can take on leadership roles by becoming club officers, who coordinate meetings, plan industry tours, and communicate with agricultural professionals. Members are automatically enrolled in the Iowa Corn Growers Association, providing access to exclusive leadership programs like the Collegiate Advisory Team.

Events and Industry Exposure

Each semester, the club organizes one-day industry tours to explore key agricultural sites related to Iowa Corn production. Additionally, members participate in CALS Week, where they engage with the Iowa Corn trailer and other campus events.

Beyond campus, students can attend Iowa Corn Growers Association events, offering further exposure to industry trends and professional networking.

Any Iowa State University student can become a member. The only requirement is a $20 annual membership to the Iowa Corn Growers Association.

A Unique Student Experience

This club stands out by bridging the gap between students and industry professionals. Through meetings, industry visits, and leadership roles, members gain insightful experiences that prepare them for future careers in agriculture.
