Registration is open for the 36th Annual Integrated Crop Management Conference, which will take place December 10–11 at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa.
Hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach along with the ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, this conference is designed to support farmers, agronomists, ag retailers, and educators with the latest research and strategies in crop production.
The Integrated Crop Management Conference is known for connecting agricultural professionals with leading university specialists and industry experts. Erin Hodgson, professor and extension entomologist at Iowa State University, shared that the conference provides valuable networking and educational opportunities.
She noted that this year’s event will start each day with keynote presentations, offering a strong lineup of speakers and fresh research insights to help attendees prepare for the 2026 growing season.
The 2025 conference will feature 33 workshops covering key topics such as crop production, pest management, nutrient use, soil health, and water management. Prairie Meadows offers modern facilities, easy access to meeting rooms, on-site lodging, and comfortable networking spaces, providing a smooth experience for participants. Attendees will also have opportunities to interact with sponsors and view exhibit displays throughout the event.
This year’s invited speakers include Ashleigh Faris from Oklahoma State University, who will discuss integrated pest management strategies for corn leafhopper and corn stunt disease.
Laura Lindsey from The Ohio State University will provide guidance on choosing whether to prioritize corn or soybean planting in spring.
Bill Chism, representing the Weed Science Society of America, will explain upcoming label changes tied to the Endangered Species Act. A panel of experts will answer questions related to the Act and its impact on agricultural practices.
Certified Crop Advisers can earn up to 14 continuing education credits at the conference. Iowa Commercial Pesticide Applicators can also obtain 2025 continuing education credits in multiple categories for an additional fee.
