Syngenta Brings Farmers a New Way to Buy Seed with GHX

Syngenta announced a new way to buy seed available to farmers in Iowa and Illinois. The new GHX experience is an innovative way to make seed buying easier, without the hassle of programs and deadlines. It also helps farmers determine the best seeding rate for individual fields based on data-driven analytics and their input to maximize return per acre.

"With GHX, the difference starts with farmers," says Wade Wiley, head of customer experience strategy and business intelligence for Syngenta Seeds, U.S. "For years, they have heard that 33,000 corn seeds per acre is the so-called 'magic number' for the optimal seeding rate, but that might not be true for every field. GHX provides straightforward seeding rate and hybrid recommendations through yield intelligence practices such as imagery, field mapping and yield benchmarking – transforming data into decisions with a MaxScript recommendation."

In the new GHX experience, seed is priced at a flat rate, per-acre basis. Farmers determine the best seeding rate for individual fields based on data-driven analytics and their input without an additional cost.

"Unlike with competitors' economic optimum seeding rates, which consider both the revenue from yield and the cost of seed, farmers using GHX can choose the hybrids that maximize yield with a flat, per-acre price for premium hybrids, regardless of population," says Wiley. "MaxScript recommendations allow farmers to select the best products at the right population in the right field."

In addition to MaxScript, the new GHX experience gives farmers high-tech solutions powered by personalized service to help manage yield and profit potential with GHX Mobile + ServiceSquad and AgriClime weather protection, GHX's risk assurance offer.

GHX Mobile is a user-friendly app that puts the future of seed in the farmer's hands. It's everything needed to run their operations throughout the year, from crop-specific weather and markets to in-season replants and pest issues.

AgriClime is offered without premiums and helps offset the impact of adverse weather during the growing season, guaranteeing cash returns even in unfavorable conditions. Farmers can also finance purchases with extended terms offered at 0% interest through Golden AdvantageSM.
