Southwest Iowa Producer Meetups Scheduled

Southwest Iowa Producer Meetups Scheduled

Southwest Iowa food producers and others interested in local foods are invited to attend networking and socializing events in December and January. These free sessions are hosted by Golden Hills RC&D and the Center for Rural Affairs.

“Southwest Iowa Producer Meetups” are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Cottonwood Hill Farms, 110 Fifth St., in McClelland; and Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Full Fledged Brewery, 40 Arena Way, Suite 2, in Council Bluffs.

Attendees will have an opportunity to network with peers who work in local foods, either directly or indirectly, and will gain knowledge as well as build their network of neighbors.

“We hope that anyone attending these events will be able to meet farmers and other local food producers and learn about what they do and how they contribute to their community,” Wang said. “We are interested in building communities around local foods and look for every opportunity to support local farmers and food producers.
