The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $.22 per barrel, currently priced at $76.47.
Brent crude oil fell $.54 and is currently priced at $82.40.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $123.70 and Brent crude was priced at $133.18.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.24 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 7 cents from last week's price and are 58 cents lower than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.45, up 9 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 3 cents this week with a statewide average of $3.94. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $4.44 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 44 cents less than the national average of $4.38.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.41 for U87-E10, $2.76 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $2.89 for ULSD#2, $3.42 for ULSD#1, and $2.35 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Propane prices fell 2 cents with a statewide average of $1.93 per gallon.
Home heating oil prices rose 9 cents, with a statewide average of $3.51 per gallon
