This recognition applauds their outstanding contributions to community gardening education, showcasing significant learning and impact in their respective local areas.
Here's a glimpse into the innovative projects that led these counties to victory:

The fair, in operation since 2008, prioritizes community inclusivity, providing free tickets to those facing food insecurity and contributing to local homeless shelters.
Scott County - Youth/School Garden Scott County's 21 Master Gardeners engaged in the Friendly House Project, a 28-year partnership promoting summer horticulture programs for youth. The project not only educated children on gardening topics but also contributed produce to the Friendly House on-site food pantry and families of participating children.
Story County - Innovative Project In just two years, Story County's Israel Family Hospice House garden project, initiated by two Master Gardeners, expanded to include eight members. The project created five distinct gardens, offering an educational and tranquil space for Hospice patients, families, and staff.
Warren County - Community Service Project Warren County's Growing Together Iowa Community Donation Garden, an initiative by 17 Master Gardeners, produced 858 pounds of fresh produce for the Helping Hands Food Pantry. The garden, designed with accessibility in mind, included raised beds and provided educational programming for food pantry clients.
