Four Farmers Join Practical Farmers of Iowa Board to Lead Growth

By Andi Anderson

Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI) has welcomed four new farmer-elected board members who will help shape the organization’s direction and strengthen farmer-led initiatives.

Elected by PFI members in January, these individuals will serve three-year terms, ensuring the organization remains farmer-focused and committed to agricultural innovation.

The newly elected board members include Alec Amundson, Wade Dooley, Brice Hundling, and Natasha Wilson, each representing different farming practices and regions across Iowa.

Alec Amundson, an At-Large Farmer Director, runs Green Country Farms in Osage, Iowa, with his wife, Rachel. They grow corn, soybeans, oats, and rye. Alec values PFI’s knowledge-sharing culture and sees his role as a way to give back to the farming community.

Wade Dooley, representing District 2 (North Central Iowa), operates Glenwood Century Farm, a diversified farm near Albion, Iowa. He also owns Dooley Ag Stewardship Inc., specializing in cover crop seeding. Wade credits PFI for transforming his farming approach and is eager to support its mission.

Brice Hundling, from District 1 (Northwest Iowa), runs a diversified family farm in Breda, Iowa, with his wife, Melanie. They raise livestock, including pigs, cattle, poultry, and bees, alongside grain crops. Brice is passionate about research and implementing innovative farming ideas.

Natasha Wilson, an At-Large Farmer Director, leads West Fork Farmstead in West Chester, Iowa, with her family. They produce grass-fed beef, heritage pork, pastured poultry, eggs, and raw honey. Natasha appreciates PFI’s role in guiding her family’s farm transition and regenerative practices.

These board members join hundreds of PFI farmers in leadership roles, including research, mentoring, and community outreach. Their contributions will help strengthen PFI’s mission to support Iowa’s agricultural community through education and sustainable farming initiatives.
