By Andi Anderson

CropsTV, an online educational program powered by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, will return for its fifth season in 2025. This popular program provides farmers and agricultural service providers with valuable crop production updates and can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.

With more than 25 episodes, CropsTV offers a flexible and convenient learning experience for busy professionals.

The 2025 season will cover topics like crop production, pest management, nutrient management, and soil and water management.

Exclusive content includes DIY soil health measurements, grain marketing strategies, spray drone application techniques, and tips to reduce corn yield drag following cereal rye. Episodes also explore agro-climate tools and manure variability.

Leah Ten Napel, a field agronomist with ISU Extension and Outreach, highlighted CropsTV’s success: “This season will be full of exclusive episodes only available via CropsTV, all with the same flexibility in selecting interesting topics to watch on a flexible schedule.”

Registration opens on January 7, 2025, and costs $100. The program includes access to all prerecorded episodes, at least 18 Certified Crop Advisor credits, and downloadable materials. New episodes will be released weekly until February 18, 2025, and subscribers will retain access until April 15, 2025.

CropsTV’s online format allows participants to enhance their agricultural knowledge from home, the office, or the field. Learn more and register by visiting the CropsTV website or contacting cropstv@iastate.edu.

This program continues to be an excellent resource for staying updated with the latest crop production techniques while offering flexibility and valuable insights for farmers and agricultural professionals.
