Iowa Farm Manager Receives Early Career Award

Ryan T. Kay, AFM, with Hertz Farm Management, Inc. in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, has been presented with the 2021 Early Career Award from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA).

The Early Career Award, which is sponsored by Bayer CropScience, is held in very high esteem in the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers and is given annually to a member who, during their first 10 years of membership, has made outstanding contributions to their local ASFMRA chapter and their local community.

"We are delighted to confer this award on Ryan. Ryan has a commitment to professionalism and has been an outstanding young professional member of this organization. He has been very active within the Society, having earned his Accredited Farm Manager designation in 2015, and is currently serving as chair of our Management and Consulting Education and Accrediting Committee. He's also been doing wonderful farm management and real estate work for the Hertz Farm Management office in Mt. Vernon, Iowa," stated Doug Hodge, ARA, and president of the ASFMRA. "By receiving this award, clients, associates and industry peers can easily recognize Ryan's personal investment in the rural property profession and his dedication to ASFMRA at both the national and local level, in addition to his commitment to his local community."

ASFMRA is the largest professional society for rural property land experts, boasting over 2100 members in 31 chapters throughout the United States. ASFMRA truly represents The Most Trusted Rural Property Professionals and is the organization for individuals who provide management, consultation, and valuation services, as well as real estate services on rural and agricultural assets.
