Join an in-depth pollinator planting workshop for women and non-binary people who own Iowa farmland.
Are you ready to plant pollinator habitat on your Iowa farmland? Women and non-binary people who own or manage farmland in Iowa are invited to a two-part event. Participants will take the next steps toward planning and installing a beautiful pollinator planting on your land.
Sept. 28 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, attend a virtual, informational Pollinator Planting Workshop featuring conservation planners from the Xerces Society and Pheasants Forever.
During the afternoon, landowners will be invited to sign up for individual virtual planning sessions with conservation professionals.
During the workshop, participants will:
- meet resource professionals who have designed dozens of beautiful plantings;
- review the steps you should consider, including how to prepare your ground and source seed;
- learn about existing cost share opportunities using state, federal and private funding;
- and network with other stewardship-minded women and non-binary folks who own land in Iowa!
During individual planning sessions, landowners will work on the next steps for their own pollinator plantings, whether that be talking through the early stages of your plan or narrowing down your source of seed.
Event information and registration is available at https://bit.ly/3Qb1Z1D. The workshop will be held on Zoom.
