The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 7 cents, averaging $3.19 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $3.28 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $74.83.
Brent crude oil fell $3.19 and is currently priced at $81.47.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $92.35 and Brent crude was at $98.73.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.19 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 7 cents from last week's price and 13 cents lower than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.40 down 2 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 8 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.06. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.72 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 42 cents less than the national average of $4.48.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.32 for U87-E10, $2.64 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $2.85 for ULSD#2, $3.36 for ULSD#1, and $2.33 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Propane prices rose 1 cent with a statewide average of $1.95 per gallon.
Home heating oil prices fell 12 cents, with a statewide average of $3.41 per gallon.
Natural gas prices fell 19 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $2.33/MMbtu.
