Earlville resident Haley Ronnebaum, 18, has been named a finalist in the 71st annual Iowa Dairy Princess contest. This prestigious competition celebrates the dedication and commitment of dairy farm families.

Haley, the daughter of Mitch and Jenny Ronnebaum, is one of eight finalists selected for this year's contest.

According to a press release, the Iowa Dairy Princess and her alternate play crucial roles in connecting with consumers and educating them about the dedication of dairy farm families to their cows, their land, and the milk they produce.

The selection of winners is based on their knowledge and enthusiasm about dairy, personality, and communication skills. Judging for the competition begins on August 6.
