Don’t Miss This Webinar on Bee Health!

On August 2, at noon CDT, Iowa Learning Farms (ILF) is hosting a webinar featuring Randall Paul Cass, the bee extension specialist at Iowa State University. Cass will discuss the abundance of bees in Iowa and the challenges they face, which are crucial to agriculture.

During the webinar titled "Bee Health in Iowa's Agricultural Landscape," Cass will provide insights into honeybees in Iowa and the stressors they encounter in the agricultural environment. He will also share practices that beekeepers, farmers, and landowners can adopt to support bee populations and their contributions to Iowa's ecosystems.

With more than 300 species of bees in Iowa, understanding their well-being is essential, as these pollinators play a significant role in food production. The presentation aims to raise awareness of the challenges bees face and empower individuals to take actions that promote their survival.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in the webinar and ask questions to the presenter. The webinar will be recorded and archived on the ILF website for later viewing. Additionally, attending the live webinar may qualify for a Certified Crop Adviser board-approved continuing education unit (CEU), and instructions for credit application will be provided at the end of the live session.

To join the webinar, simply click the link (https://iastate.zoom.us/j/364284172) shortly before noon CDT on August 2 or enter the meeting ID (364 284 172) on the Zoom website. Alternatively, you can join by phone by dialing 312-626-6799 and entering the meeting ID.
