Celebrate Iowa's Agriculture at the 2023 State Fair

Celebrate Iowa's Agriculture at the 2023 State Fair

The Iowa State Fair will showcase the Choose Iowa initiative, an exciting program by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. This program promotes Iowa's homegrown, raised, and made foods. By focusing on local food demand, investing in value-added projects, and helping people find and enjoy Iowa's food and drinks, Choose Iowa supports farmers, creates new markets, and shortens the gap between farms and meals.

Choose Iowa Chats Throughout the fair, special guests and farmers from Iowa will share their stories during Choose Iowa Chats on the Ag Building stage at 10 a.m. each weekday. These chats will discuss topics related to Choose Iowa and its significance.

Thursday, Aug. 10: Farmers' Perspectives

Friday, Aug. 11: Bridging Farm to Table

Monday, Aug. 14: Farm-to-Table Journey

Wednesday, Aug. 16: Diversity in Agriculture

Thursday, Aug. 17: Connecting Consumers with Fresh Foods

Friday, Aug. 18: Introduction to Choose Iowa
