Ag lender seminars set for northeast and northwest Iowa

Ag lender seminars set for northeast and northwest Iowa

By Andi Anderson

Agricultural lenders in Iowa can look forward to two upcoming seminars designed to provide them with research-based information on farm financial management, market outlooks, and succession planning.

These events are essential for lenders, consultants, and farm advisers working with agricultural clients during an era of fluctuating profits and market uncertainty.

The Tri-State Agricultural Lenders Seminar will take place on Tuesday, October 29, at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Dubuque, from 9:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The Siouxland Agricultural Lenders Seminar will follow on Wednesday, October 30, at the Dordt Stewardship Center in Sioux Center, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

These seminars will offer crucial insights for those who work with dairy producers and other agricultural clients.

Topics include farm succession, the used machinery market, right to repair legislation, and market outlooks for livestock, grains, and dairy. The events will help participants better manage risk and understand new technologies in the farming sector.

Speakers at the events will cover important topics like milk market updates, the potential of grass-fed dairy, and the latest on used machinery market trends.

There will be discussions on right-to-repair legislation, farm succession planning, and livestock and crop market updates. Special sessions on dairy goats and women in ag lending will also be included, depending on the event location.

Registration fees are $100 per person, with discounts available for multiple attendees from the same business. Pre-registration deadlines vary, with October 18 for the Tri-State event and October 25 for the Siouxland event. Event-day registrations are accepted but may not include lunch.

For more information or to register, contact Fred Hall at 712-737-4230 or Larry Tranel at 563-590-7025, or visit the seminar website for further details.
