Iowa Ag Connection - 09/12/2019
The Wisconsin FFA has announced the theme of this year's GROWMARK essay contest for junior high and high school members. Students are asked to 'Describe the Farmer of the Future.'
The contest, which is now in its 27th year, is sponsored by the GROWMARK System and FS member cooperatives, in conjunction with state FFA leaders. It is designed to help young people improve their writing skills and learn about current issues of agriculture.
Essays should be approximately 500 words, typed and double-spaced. The entry deadline for Wisconsin FFA students is November 8.
The state winner earns a $500 scholarship, and their FFA Chapter will get a $300 award. Four runners-up also win $125 scholarships.
GROWMARK is a regional cooperative providing agriculture-related products and services and grain marketing in the Midwest.
