The price of regular unleaded gasoline rose 3 cents, averaging $4.15 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $4.59 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $110.43.
Brent crude oil rose $2.08 and currently priced at $109.96.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $65.49 and Brent crude was at $69.01.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $4.15 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 3 cents from last week's price and $1.25 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $4.57, up 17 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 4 cents this week with a statewide average of $5.26. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.06 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 32 cents less than the national average of $5.58.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $3.36 for U87-E10, $3.82 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.90 for ULSD#2, $4.05 for ULSD#1, and $3.08 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices rose 72 cents at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $8.26/MMbtu.
