The price of regular unleaded gasoline rose 14 cents, averaging $3.60 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $4.71 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $85.09.
Brent crude oil fell $3.54 and currently priced at $91.96.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $70.56 and Brent crude was at $73.65.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.60 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 14 cents from last week's price and $.61 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.68 down 2 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 9 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.77. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.12 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 16 cents less than the national average of $4.93.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.75 for U87-E10, $3.32 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.47 for ULSD#2, $3.74 for ULSD#1, and $2.67 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices fell $.97 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $7.84/MMbtu.
