The price of regular unleaded gasoline rose 3 cents, averaging $3.63 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $2.87 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $82.22.
Brent crude oil fell $2.57 and currently priced at $89.39.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $75.29 and Brent crude was at $78.30.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.63 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 3 cents from last week's price and $.62 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.77 up 9 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 7 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.70. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.16 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 18 cents less than the national average of $4.88.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.73 for U87-E10, $3.22 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.36 for ULSD#2, $3.67 for ULSD#1, and $2.65 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices fell $.91 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $6.93/MMbtu.
