Learn from Dairy Goat Experts in Upcoming Webinars for 2023


A series of enlightening webinars is set to equip dairy goat producers and industry affiliates with crucial insights into significant industry matters. The webinars, organized as part of a year-long series by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach's dairy specialist Jenn Bentley, are tailored to enrich participants' understanding of pertinent topics.

Running from noon to 1:15 p.m. Central time, the sessions will host discussions led by producers and veterinary experts, imparting invaluable knowledge to participants. Particularly beneficial for active dairy goat producers aiming to enhance their management and housing techniques, the webinars are a notable platform for gaining producer perspectives and adopting best practices.

Here's a glance at the upcoming webinar schedule:

Sept. 21: "Producer Perspectives" featuring a panel of esteemed participants.

Oct. 26: "What Do We Know about Dry Treating Dairy Goats?" presented by Michelle Buckley, post-doctoral associate at Iowa State University.

Nov. 16: "Dairy Goat Cost of Production" presented by Marlene Paibomesai, dairy specialist at Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Dec. 21: "Milk Quality Investigations" presented by Cathy Bauman, assistant professor at Ontario Veterinary College, Guelph, Ontario. These webinars have garnered substantial interest, attracting over 200 registrations and boasting an average session attendance of 50-60 participants. The sessions come at no cost; however, registration is mandatory.
