Iowa Farmer Joins National Young Leaders in Agriculture

By Andi Anderson

Vanessa Trampel, a passionate young farmer from Garner, Iowa, has been chosen to join the prestigious American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers Committee (AFBF YF&R). A dedicated advocate for young farmers, Trampel currently chairs the Iowa Farm Bureau's Young Farmer program.

"My goal has always been to ignite young people's passion for agriculture, starting at the county level," says Trampel. "By sharing experiences and learning from each other, we can unlock new possibilities for the future of farming."

In her new role with the AFBF YF&R, Trampel will play a key role in shaping the future of American agriculture. She will contribute to long-term planning, organize national events for young farmers, participate in leadership training, and serve as a bridge between the national committee and state programs.

Trampel brings a wealth of experience to the table. Along with her husband, Kody, and their two children, she runs a successful farm raising corn, soybeans, alfalfa, and cattle. She also juggles an off-farm job as an occupational health nurse and volunteers with Ag in the Classroom programs, inspiring the next generation of farmers.

Trampel's appointment to the AFBF YF&R is a testament to her dedication and leadership skills. Her passion for agriculture and her commitment to empowering young farmers will undoubtedly make a lasting impact on the industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for Trampel to connect with young farmers across the country, share her knowledge, and advocate for their needs. Her story serves as an inspiration to young people everywhere who are passionate about agriculture and making a difference in the world.
