Iowa DNR virtual meeting on supreme beef nutrient management plan


The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is extending an invitation to the public for a crucial virtual meeting scheduled for Monday, October 16, 2023, at 10 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is to gather valuable public input concerning the Nutrient Management Plan (NMP) of Supreme Beef, LLC.

Supreme Beef, LLC is located at 15869 Glider Road, Monona, Iowa, within Giard Township, Clayton County. To participate in this virtual meeting, kindly register by contacting Kelli Book at (515) 210-3408 or via email at Kelli.Book@dnr.iowa.gov. Registration is open until 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023. When registering, please provide your name and email address. Additionally, indicate if you intend to make a comment during the meeting.

During the meeting, comments will be limited to two main topics:

• Confirmation that the NMP was submitted following the procedures mandated by the DNR.

• Assessment of the NMP's compliance with the provisions outlined in 567 Iowa Administrative Code 65.

Aside from the virtual meeting, you can also request an electronic copy of the Nutrient Management Plan and submit written comments to Kelli.Book@dnr.iowa.gov.
