Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 9 cents this week with a statewide average of $5.23.
The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $3.77 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $87.90.
Brent crude oil rose $4.37 and currently priced at $95.66.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $84.65 and Brent crude was at $85.11.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.55 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 8 cents from last week's price and $.40 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.76 down 9 cents from last week's price.

Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.52 for U87-E10, $3.05 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.99 for ULSD#2, $4.31 for ULSD#1, and $2.73 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Propane prices were down 1 cent with a statewide average of $1.93 per gallon.
Home heating oil prices rose 9 cents, with a statewide average of $4.80 per gallon.
Natural gas prices rose $.56 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $6.09/MMbtu
