The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $5.88 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $88.10.
Brent crude oil rose $4.32 and currently priced at $93.71.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $78.93 and Brent crude was at $82.72.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.69 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 6 cents from last week's price and $.67 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.83 up 6 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 3 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.67. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.21 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 20 cents less than the national average of $4.87.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.92 for U87-E10, $3.44 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.83 for ULSD#2, $4.15 for ULSD#1, and $2.77 per gallon for E-70 prices. Heating Fuels
