Farmers preparing for the 2025 harvest season are invited to join a special webinar on transportation rules and regulations affecting farm vehicles.
Scheduled for Monday, September 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM CST, the session is hosted by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and features Trooper Jay Kirkpatrick from the Iowa State Patrol Commercial Motor Vehicles Unit.
The webinar will provide essential guidance on farm vehicle registration and licensing, pre-trip inspections, and vehicle weight restrictions, as well as other regulations that farmers must follow while transporting crops.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, gain clarity on exemptions that may apply to farm operations and ensure they are compliant with current transportation laws.
This informative session is designed to help farmers navigate regulatory requirements safely and efficiently during harvest, reducing risks on the road and promoting safe transport practices.
Farmers, farm managers, and others involved in crop transportation are encouraged to attend to stay informed and protect their operations throughout the season.
