The Iowa Farm Bureau and the University of Iowa Athletic Department will celebrate America's farmers at the 12th annual America Needs Farmers (ANF) Game Day on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Kinnick Stadium.
The event will feature a variety of activities for fans of all ages, including:
- The opportunity to interact with farmers and learn about the diversity and innovation of agriculture today.
- Tailgate games and other fun activities for the whole family.
- Autographs from former Hawkeye standout and Super Bowl champion Bryan Bulaga, along with Hawkeye fan favorites Gary Dolphin and Ed Podolak.
Fans can also show their support for ANF by purchasing ANF merchandise during game day in shops around the stadium. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Iowa Food Bank Association. Since the ANF partnership began, more than $180,000 has been raised to feed hungry Iowans.
- The ANF program is important because it helps to educate the public about the importance of agriculture and the role that farmers play in our daily lives.
- The event also helps to raise money for the Iowa Food Bank Association.
- The ANF Wall of Honor salutes former University of Iowa football players who exemplify the tenacity, work ethic, and character of the Iowa farmer.
The ANF Game Day is a great opportunity for fans of all ages to learn about agriculture, meet farmers, and support the Iowa Food Bank Association.
