2025 Crop Advantage Series bring farming insights across Iowa

The 2025 Crop Advantage Series, organized by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, will run across 12 Iowa locations from January 2 to January 29.

This annual event aims to equip farmers and crop production professionals with the latest research-based insights to tackle local farming challenges effectively.

Tailored Farming Insights

Each meeting features region-specific topics, ensuring relevance to the local growing conditions. Experts will cover diverse subjects, including crop market outlooks for 2025, climate predictions, waterhemp management, tar spot, soybean aphid resistance, cover crops, and nitrification inhibitors. These sessions are designed to help farmers anticipate and manage potential issues proactively.

The meetings will be held in the following locations:

Jan. 2: Storm Lake

Jan. 7: Sioux Center

Jan. 9: Burlington

Jan. 10: Mason City

Jan. 14: Okoboji

Jan. 16: Waterloo

Jan. 17: Davenport

Jan. 21: Atlantic

Jan. 22: Ankeny

Jan. 23: Coralville

Jan. 28: Le Mars

Jan. 29: Templeton

Registration and Benefits

Early-bird registration is $75 up to a week before each meeting, while late or on-site registration costs $100. Attendees will enjoy refreshments, lunch, certified crop advisor credits, and valuable resources. Private pesticide applicator recertification is available at each location for an additional $30 on-site fee.
