The Southeast Iowa Agricultural Research Association will host its annual meeting Thursday, March 7, at the Southeast Research and Demonstration Farm, located at 3115 Louisa-Washington Road, Crawfordsville.
The association, in partnership with Iowa State University, oversees the Southeast Research and Demonstration Farm.
The meeting will feature a presentation focusing on achieving high yielding soybeans with Mark Licht, associate professor and extension cropping systems specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach; a general research farm update from Tim Goode, Iowa State research farms manager; and Kendall Lamkey, associate dean for facilities and operations for the research farms.
Attendees will also hear a local research farm update from Cody Schneider, farm superintendent; a presentation on nitrogen-fixing biologicals in corn with Dave Franzen, professor and extension soil fertility specialist with North Dakota State University; and the day will end with a presentation discussing turning the corner with soybean cyst nematodes, by Greg Tylka, Morrill professor and extension nematologist at Iowa State.
