Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Women Impacting Agriculture recognition. This honor celebrates women across Iowa who are making outstanding contributions to farming, agribusiness, education, and community leadership.
Four women will be selected and recognized during the 9th Annual Women in Ag Leadership Conference, to be held December 3–4, 2025, at the Gateway Hotel and Convention Center in Ames, Iowa.
“We are excited to celebrate the dedication, leadership and resilience of women who are shaping the future of agriculture in Iowa,” said Madeline Schultz, program manager of ISU’s Women in Ag Program. “Their stories inspire others and reflect the important role women play in sustaining and growing the agricultural economy.”
Nominations are open through May 31, and anyone can nominate a deserving candidate. The process requires a short nomination form that highlights the nominee’s leadership qualities, impact on agriculture, and community contributions.
The recognition aims to spotlight women leading on farms, in boardrooms, and in rural communities. Whether they are farmers, ag educators, entrepreneurs, or advocates, the honorees represent the diverse roles women hold in agriculture.
To nominate a woman who is making a difference in Iowa’s agricultural sector, visit the Women Impacting Agriculture page and complete the online form.
The annual conference will bring together women from all areas of agriculture to network, learn, and celebrate leadership. The recognition ceremony will serve as one of the event’s highlights, offering an opportunity to honor the positive change women bring to the field.
This initiative continues to uplift and support the voices and work of women in agriculture, strengthening the industry’s future across the state.
