Des Moines is preparing to host over 1,100 attendees from 48 states and two United States Territories for the 108th Annual Meeting and Professional Improvement Program of the National Association of County Agricultural Agents (NACAA). This event, taking place from August 12 to 17, gathers agricultural extension educators and specialists committed to advancing agricultural education and technical support.
Covering a wide range of expertise including 4-H, agricultural economics, agronomy, animal science, horticulture, natural resources, and sustainable agriculture, attendees contribute significantly to their communities.
The Iowa Events Center will serve as the venue for the conference, featuring 160 professional development seminars led by esteemed extension educators. These sessions will address various topics and trends impacting communities nationwide. The conference will also include a trade show highlighting Iowa agriculture, recognition programs, and engaging keynote speakers.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore Iowa through tours that include visits to attractions, museums, parks, and culinary experiences. The Iowa State Fair will be a notable highlight for many attending the event.
This conference is hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, marking the first time Iowa has held this prestigious event in the organization's history spanning over a century.
