Iowa Farmers Can Now Enroll in ADM's Regeneration Soil Health Program

Enrollment is now open for the ADM soil health program, regeneration, allowing Iowa farmers to join the second year of this impactful initiative. In collaboration with the American Farm Trust, ADM aims to expand on the success of last year's program, which included nearly 300 farmers across Illinois. Covering a total of 112,414 acres, with 278,696 acres enrolled in emissions scoring, the program awarded almost $2 million in incentives.

The regeneration program offers flexible contracts for farmers who adopt environmentally friendly practices, including the incorporation of cover crops and providing data for carbon intensity scoring. Eligible farmers delivering corn and soybeans to ADM elevators can receive emissions scoring payments.

Enrollees who implement cover crops and transition to no-till practices can earn between $13 to $16 per acre, while those adopting cover crops alone will receive $10 per acre. These incentives aim to support farmers in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving water quality, enhancing soil health, and preserving biodiversity.

ADM's director of climate smart ag origination, Paul Scheetz, emphasized the positive environmental impacts created by farmers through regenerative and climate-smart agricultural practices. The partnership with the American Farm Trust has been instrumental in providing technical support to participants, facilitating the implementation of conservation practices on their farms.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to make a difference. Sign up on the ADM website to join the waiting list for the 2023 regeneration soil health program. Together, let's cultivate a sustainable future for Iowa's agricultural landscape.
