DeWitt Central FFA Member Shines in Website Competition

By Andi Anderson

Dalani Beuthein, a dedicated member of DeWitt Central FFA, recently achieved success at the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference held April 13–15, 2025. She competed in the chapter website competition, earning a gold rating for her outstanding improvements to her chapter’s online presence.

Beuthein first took charge of the DeWitt Central FFA website during her freshman year as part of her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). After two years of consistent updates, she decided to showcase her work in the chapter website competition at the Iowa FFA Southeast District Convention.

Before competing, Beuthein worked hard to ensure the website was fully updated. She reviewed documents to verify past state and American FFA Degree recipients and scoured social media for relevant photos. Keeping the website accurate and visually engaging was her top priority.

The competition required her to deliver an eight-minute presentation and answer questions from judges. Beuthein practiced twice a week, even presenting the website to middle school agriculture students and high school administrators for feedback.

Her dedication paid off. She earned a gold rating at the district level, outshining 15 other teams, and advanced to the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference. There, she placed sixth overall and received another gold award.

Beyond the awards, working on the website has helped Beuthein build important life skills. She says the experience strengthened her communication and problem-solving abilities — skills highly valued by future employers.

Beuthein’s commitment, attention to detail, and strong work ethic are setting her up for success, both within the FFA and in her future career path. With her passion and drive, she is certainly not lagging behind.
