The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 19 cents, averaging $3.81 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $6.43 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $91.30.
Brent crude oil fell $9.46 and currently priced at $97.52.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $70.56 and Brent crude was at $73.24.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.81 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 19 cents from last week's price and $.82 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $4.16, down 14 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 12 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.89. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.12 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 35 cents less than the national average of $5.24.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.66 for U87-E10, $3.14 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.52 for ULSD#2, $3.78 for ULSD#1, and $2.66 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices fell $.88 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $7.69/MMbtu.
