The National Education Center for Agriculture Safety is set to hold a Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on July 9, 2024, aimed at educating children on farm safety practices.

This event will take place at Northeast Iowa Community College, located at 8342 NICC Drive in Peosta. It is designed for children aged 4-12 and will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The event's cost is $5 per participant, which includes lunch. This nominal fee ensures that the day is accessible to many families while providing valuable safety education for young children who may be exposed to agricultural environments.

The Progressive Agriculture Safety Day will feature a variety of activities and demonstrations that focus on different aspects of farm safety. Children will learn about the importance of staying safe around farm equipment, handling animals properly, and being aware of potential hazards in a farm setting.

The event aims to instill a strong understanding of safety practices in young participants, helping to prevent accidents and injuries.

By engaging in hands-on learning and interactive sessions, children will gain practical knowledge that they can apply in real-life situations.

The event also provides an opportunity for children to ask questions and interact with safety experts, enhancing their learning experience.

The National Education Center for Agriculture Safety is committed to promoting safety and preventing accidents in agricultural settings.

Hosting events like the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day is part of their broader mission to ensure that children understand and follow safety guidelines, reducing the risk of accidents on farms.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children for this important event. The safety day not only offers educational benefits but also provides a fun and engaging environment for children to learn about agriculture and safety.

Overall, the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day at Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta is an excellent opportunity for children to learn about farm safety in an interactive and informative setting.

This event underscores the importance of safety education in agricultural communities and helps to build a foundation of safe practices for the next generation.
