The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will host an Ag Pest Control and Seed Treatment Continuing Instruction Course (CIC) on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Wapello County Extension Office, located at 13011 120th Avenue in Ottumwa, Iowa.
This program provides IDALS-approved continuing education for certified Commercial Pesticide Applicators seeking to renew their certification.
The course content meets the standards of the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS), ensuring that applicators remain up to date with current pest management practices, regulations, and safety requirements.
Participants will gain insights into pest identification, integrated pest management (IPM) strategies, and proper seed treatment techniques.
The course is designed to reinforce best practices for handling, applying, and storing pesticides safely, while emphasizing environmental stewardship and compliance with state laws.
