The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 19 cents, averaging $3.62 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil rose this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $.37 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $91.67.
Brent crude oil fell $.34 and currently priced at $97.18.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $68.29 and Brent crude was at $71.14.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.62 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 19 cents from last week's price and $.62 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $4.01, down 15 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 14 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.75. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.14 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 35 cents less than the national average of $5.10.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.62 for U87-E10, $3.09 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.48 for ULSD#2, $3.74 for ULSD#1, and $2.62 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices rose $.57 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $8.26/MMbtu.
