The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 8 cents, averaging $3.43 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $6.86 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $82.51.
Brent crude oil fell $7.85 and currently priced at $88.65.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $68.50 and Brent crude was at $71.52.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.43 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 8 cents from last week's price and $.44 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.76, down 8 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were down 4 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.91. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.10 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 14 cents less than the national average of $5.05.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.52 for U87-E10, $2.92 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.74 for ULSD#2, $4.00 for ULSD#1, and $2.71 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices fell $1.31 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $7.85/MMbtu.
