Pesticide applicators who work in landscaping or land management can learn how they can support bees and other pollinators through the Pollinator Protection for Land Managers Online Course. This free course is self-paced, allowing students to review course materials at their own pace and on their own schedules. The course takes about an hour to complete.
This course is open to everyone, and its intended audience is certified pesticide applicators who work in landscaping or land management of private or public lands.
Upon course completion, certified pesticide applicators in Michigan can request one restricted use pesticide (RUP) credit in categories 2, 3A, 3B, 6 and 7A, Commercial Core or Private Core.
Pollinator Protection for Pesticide Applicators contains three modules:
- Pollinator Appreciation
- Pesticide Toxicity and Risk to Bees
- Land Management for Pollinator Health
