The price of regular unleaded gasoline fell 5 cents, averaging $3.51 across Iowa according to AAA.
The price of global crude oil fell this week on the West Texas Intermediate (WTI) by $5.57 per barrel over last week, currently priced at $89.37.
Brent crude oil fell $4.79 and currently priced at $96.5.
One year ago, WTI crude sold for $73.95 and Brent crude was at $73.45.
As of Wednesday, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.51 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices fell 5 cents from last week's price and $.52 higher than one year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.84, down 4 cents from last week's price.
Retail diesel prices in Iowa were up 23 cents this week with a statewide average of $4.95. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.09 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 13 cents less than the national average of $5.08.
Wholesale ethanol held steady and is currently priced at $2.16.
The current Des Moines Terminal/Rack Prices are $2.43 for U87-E10, $2.76 for Unleaded 87 (clear), $3.95 for ULSD#2, $4.21 for ULSD#1, and $2.68 per gallon for E-70 prices.
Natural gas prices fell $.11 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $9.16/MMbtu.
