Secretary Perdue in Nebraska and Iowa Today

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be in Nebraska and Iowa Dec. 12.

In Nebraska and on the heels of U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announcing agreement on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), Perdue will deliver remarks at the Farmers Business Network (FBN) Farmer2Farmer Conference. The conference takes place at the CHI Health Center, 455 N 10th St., Omaha, and Perdue's speech is set to begin at 8:30 a.m.

Following the speech, the Secretary will tour the Nebraska Costco Poultry Facility, 1325 E Cloverly Rd., Fremont.

In Iowa, Perdue will join Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds for a broadband ReConnect Program Grant announcement. The grant will increase e-connectivity, benefitting 477 households, 35 farms and 21 businesses in Montgomery and Page counties. Perdue and Reynolds will make the announcement at about 2:30 p.m. at Old Lumber Yard Company, 227 Thorn St., Stanton.
