Reynolds Announces Opioid Awareness Week

Gov. Kim Reynolds announced Friday she will launch Opioid Awareness Week next week, Sunday, October 22, 2017-Saturday, October 28, 2017. The purpose of Opioid Awareness Week is to highlight efforts and initiatives underway in Iowa
and introduce an action plan for the state going forward.
Wednesday -- Gov. Reynolds & Lt. Gov. Gregg tour Turning Point Treatment Center, Dubuque
Thursday -- Identify, Prevent, Recover: Combating Opioids in Iowa, hosted by Gov. Kim Reynolds, Drake University, Olmstead Center -- Sussman Theater, 2507 University Ave., Des Moines; and then Reynolds will tour Community Health Centers
of Southern Iowa, Corydon
Friday -- Gov. Reynolds & Lt. Gov. Gregg tour Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua
Saturday -- Gov. Reynolds & Lt. Gov. Gregg encourage all Iowans to participate in Iowa's Drug Take Back Day
