U.S. October Milk Production Falls 0.5 Percent

Milk production in the United States during October totaled 18.5 billion pounds, down 0.5 percent from October 2020.
Production per cow in the United States averaged 1,970 pounds for October, 6 pounds below October 2020.
The number of milk cows on farms in the United States was 9.40 million head, 14,000 head below October 2020, and 14,000 head less than September 2021.
